I joined the Greek American Restaurant Association (GARA) in 1986. The organization was built on the principles of fostering camaraderie and mutual support among its members, as well as giving back to the Greek community. I am incredibly proud to be part of this mission, having witnessed the positive impact of our contributions to numerous projects and initiatives. Over the years, I have also formed some of my longest-lasting friendships through GARA.

In addition to my role with GARA, I serve as a Vice Chairman for GARC, the President of the Brotherhood of Haravgi Pogoniou in Chicago, and a member of the Panepirotic Federation of America

I earned my degree in International Finance from the University of Illinois, where I developed a deep understanding of global markets and economic principles. This foundation has greatly influenced my approach to business and entrepreneurship.

I own two restaurants: Charcoal Delights at 3139 West Foster Avenue in Chicago and Charcoal Delights on Oakton at 1090 East Oakton Street in Des Plaines. Charcoal Delights is a fast-casual dining concept, celebrated for its unique cooking method using a 100% lump charcoal grill. This technique enhances flavor and delivers a delicious backyard barbecue taste in every bite. In recent years, we’ve also been recognized for serving Chicago's Best Broasted Chicken, an achievement we’re incredibly proud of.

My family is my greatest source of joy. I am blessed with my loving wife, Georgia, my wonderful children, Dimitra, Yianna, and Demetri, and our loyal German Shepherd, Jimmy. We recently welcomed a new addition to the family, my first granddaughter, Paraskevi, who has brought us endless happiness.

I attend St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Des Plaines, Illinois, where my faith helps guide and inspire me.

In my free time, I cherish spending time in my village, Haravgi, in Greece. There, I enjoy the serenity of the Greek mountains, sharing traditional music, food, and laughter with friends and family. When I’m not in Greece, I love taking long walks in nature with my dog or playing with my granddaughter, both of which bring me immense joy and peace.
