I have been a proud member of the Greek American Restaurant Association (GARA) since 2000. My involvement with GARA has been incredibly rewarding, as I take great pride in contributing to worthy causes that uplift Greek communities. From providing scholarships to supporting vital institutions like the Iakovos Retreat Center, the National Hellenic Museum, and the Greek Nursing Home, I am honored to be part of an organization that makes a meaningful impact. 

In addition to my work with GARA, I serve on the board of GARC. My family is deeply rooted in the restaurant industry, and as part of the Karas Restaurant Group, we own and operate 17 restaurants. Personally, I am actively involved with Alexander’s Café and The Village Squire, where we strive to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. 

Family is at the center of my life. I am happily married to my lovely wife, Karen, and together we have been blessed with five children and ten grandchildren. My faith is also an integral part of who I am, and I attend St. Sophia Church, where I feel connected to my spiritual community. 

In my free time, I love traveling to Kavala, Greece, a place close to my heart. I visit about three times a year, and during my time there, I take great joy in producing my own olive oil, which I enjoy gifting to friends and family.
